It seems that Google will continue the trend, where they will release an existing app on the Android OS to be released independently in the Google Play Store. Now they release a new battery app in the Play Store, where the application is named Device Health Services.
For those of you who are not familiar with the application, basically the application comes pre-installed on Nexus and Pixel smartphones. So, the app will not work on smartphones of other brands. In addition, Google’s oldest smartphone that can run the application is Nexus 5.
Unfortunately, even though the battery app has been released on the Play Store, but its availability is not available in all countries. Currently, the app is only available in the United States alone, so if you are outside of the United States and visiting the app page it will be directed to a warning page that the app is not yet available in your area.
Device Health Services application itself has a function to show the habits in the use of smartphone battery and how long the battery will last. You have several personalization options that allow you to show the percentage of batteries in the status bar, as well as optimize the adaptive brightness for the screen.
Because this battery app has been released independently, so if Google has important updates for the app it only needs to scroll through the Play Store update, so they no longer need to roll out updates via OTA or Android OS update package.
