Google is already launching the latest operating system Android 8.0 Oreo, but until now only a handful of smartphones that have run the operating system. Now the search engine giant has announced the presence of a new version of Android, namely version 8.1 Oreo. The new version will bring bug fixes, but the build is still a Developer Preview version.

The company has also confirmed that the latest version of the preview developer will be released in December this year. Android 8.0 Oreo itself slid for the first time with the new Pixel smartphone, and the Pixel 2 lineup was able to run the new version when Google released it. The new version of Android has now been announced which will eventually reach up to the latest Pixel handsets and other compatible handsets.
Android 8.1 developer preview currently supports some of the latest Google smartphones like Pixel and Nexus the latest generation. For Nexus smartphones that are still supported include Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. While for supported Pixel devices include Pixel C, Pixel and Pixel XL, and Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
All image of Android OS 8.1 Developer Preview is now also available for download through Google site. For users who want to use the image must have an unlocked bootloader. This Preview version will be available until a stable version of the official OS is released. Google itself hopes if they can present it to all users in December.
