In the IFA 2017 event which starts on September 1st, Sony is expected to launch its new flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact. Some leaks about the flagship duo has long been emerging, even had appeared in Antutu and Geekbench as well. But recently in the Geekbench database looks new smartphone from Sony, the Xperia ZG.
If true it is the latest smartphone from Sony, but there is an oddity on the smartphone. Xperia ZG registered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset which also had carried by the Xperia Z5 series, including the Z5 Compact which launched in 2015 ago. Despite having the same chipset, but there are some differences between the two devices.

Sony Xperia ZG seems to have a slightly better performance than the Xperia Z5 Compact, which on the Geekbench list this time shows 1812MB RAM for Xperia ZG. As for the Xperia Z5 Compact has a capacity of 1764MB RAM. But this is not a very striking difference considering the Xperia Z5 Compact was launched two years ago.

In addition, Sony Xperia ZG Compact is registered already running Android 7.1.1 Nougat which is the latest version for now. But not yet certain whether this is really a new device worked on by Sony, or is there someone who tamper with the software so make Xperia Z5 Compact become Xperia ZG.
