Xiaomi and Qualcomm Team Up to Optimize Snapdragon 845 Chipset For Mi 7

Lately leaks on the specifications carried by Xiaomi Mi 7 began to appear, although the smartphone will be launched next year. As a flagship smartphone, Xiaomi Mi 7 will carry the high-end Snapdragon 845 chipset. Today, industry insiders from China have claimed that Xiaomi and Qualcomm are currently working on optimizing Snapdragon 845 v2.

The company has exposed development progress, which they expect if the Xiaomi Mi 7 test can begin in November this year. The final test of Xiaomi Mi 7 is likely to be completed in February of 2018. Xiaomi Mi 7 may come with a large OLED display. However, the smartphone is not possible to carry the fingerprint scanner feature on the screen because the technology is not ready to be applied at this time.
On the other hand, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were rumored to be carrying the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset. But the next news says if the Snapdragon 836 chipset does not really exist, because the next flagship chipset will be Snapdragon 845. Snapdragon 845 chipset is still preserved with 10nm process.

For Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to come with a 6-inch wide OLED display and apply an 18: 9 ratio. In addition, Xiaomi Mi 7 is also expected to be the first Xiaomi smartphone to support wireless charging. We look forward to the next news from the flagship smartphone Mi 7.
