After the last few weeks of Android One’s samrtphone from Xiaomi became the subject of conversation, Xiaomi finally released its first Android One smartphone called Xiaomi Mi A1. As expected, Xiaomi Mi A1 basically uses the Xiaomi Mi 5X base that has been rolling in China a few weeks ago. The difference, if Mi 5X using MIUI as the interface display, Mi A1 using the display stock Android 7.1.2 Nougat like Gogogle Pixel.
Because Xiaomi Mi A1 is a Mi 5X that uses pure Android display, so both the design and the specifications of this smartphone exactly the same as the Mi 5X. This smartphone has a metal body with a choice of colors Black, Gold, and Rose Gold. There is a fingerprint scanner sensor on the back and there are antenna lines inspired from the design of the iPhone 7. The thing that distinguishes Mi A1 with Mi 5X is, the Android One logo behind just under the Mi logo.
This smartphone has a 5.5-inch screen Full HD 1080p resolution and powered by a 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset combined with 4GB of RAM. For the storage capacity of 64GB which can still be expanded with microSD.
The photography sector seems to be the main focus on this third generation Android One smartphone. Sure enough, because the camera setup that carried is a dual-camera consisting of 12MP wide-angle lens and 12MP telephoto lens. This system is referred to as “dual-camera flagship” which is capable of producing perfect images. That way, it’s natural if Xiaomi said if the ability to capture a camera camera images is similar to the iPhone 7 Plus.
Battery capacity brought by this smartphone is also fairly impressive, namely 3.080mAh which can provide longer usage time considering the Snapdragon 625 chipset is known for very efficient power consumption. For the port used is also type USB Type-C.
Given Xiaomi Mi A1 is present without MIUI, so features and custom applications that exist on Mi 5X are not included in MI A1, except for camera applications. In addition, the company also promises an upgraded Android 8.0 Oreo which will arrive later this year, and Xiaomi Mi A1 will be one of the smartphones that gets Android P upgrades for next year
For availability, this smartphone will be available on September 12 with a price tag of INR14,999. Not yet known when this smartphone will be released in Indonesia and how much it cost when arriving in the country, but clearly Indonesia is one of 37 countries destination smartphone sales.
