Some of you must have heard a rumor saying that Xiaomi is preparing a new sub-brand, aimed at rivaling Oppo and Vivo who managed to gain a huge market share. Although not yet certain of the truth, but the existence of this new sub-brand is getting stronger with the emergence of various new leaks.
Currently the name of the new sub-brand Xiaomi remains a mystery, but there is a blogger from China’s Bamboo Curtain country who says that if Xiaomi’s new sub-brand will become Lanmi. Through his Weibo account, the blogger also mentions what models will enliven the new sub-brand.
If you have previously heard if Xiaomi will launch Xiaomi X1 smartphone, it seems the smartphone will become part of this new sub-brand. According to the blogger, the first smartphone from this new sub-brand will be Xiaomi Lanmi X1. The first smartphone from this sub-brand will have two different models, where each model also consists of several variants.
The first model will come with a 5.5-inch screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and will be powered by the latest chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. Because the latest chipset supports dual camera setup, it seems this smartphone will carry dual-camera sensor using Sony IMX362 or IMX368 .
This first model will also have a fingerprint sensor on the back. This first model will also consist of several memory configurations, RAM from 4GB to 6GB, and internal storage ranging from 64GB to 128GB.
For the second model also does not seem to be much different from the first model, especially on memory variants that will be four different variants. Even for screens, cameras, and chipsets will also be the same as the first model. The difference of this second model lies in the fingerprint sensor placed on the front. Since it has not been officially confirmed by the company, we must wait for further news.
